Every year we take a few trips over to Hesparia lake around this time of year in hopes of seeing the coot babies again. We have never timed it right other than the time I got these photos.
i think they are so cute. They lose the orange which they have almost lost most of the orange feathers in these photos - they lose it within six days...it's not easy i guess photographing them because you have to time it right ..so go to a lake every day during their laying egg season.
all i said basically is we are going to try our smaller county fair today since it's the last day but its' going to be in the 90's so i'll see how long we last...but there is an Aldi near there - last time at Aldi they were out of the coffee we get there so maybe at this Aldi they will have some. hope Cas is feeling better.
