BEAUTIFUL ROBIN AT WATER'S EDGE

Was at the lake when I spotted her.

I've seen a lot of robins down by the lake - always a harbinger of spring.

Today, though, I saw mainly Brewer's Blackbirds.

While on the trail yesterday, we walked by where some horses were behind a fence and three doves were sitting there.  They let me walk up real close and didn't even fly off.

We had to be off the mountain yesterday so went to a trail we like to walk.

 I don't see doves around where I live so it was nice seeing these gentle birds.

I was at Petco the other day and saw these cute finches.

We met up with him on a walk .  He wasn't on a leash and started hanging around us because he really loved the duck food we were throwing out.  I love his coloring.

 He's intently looking at Mike who has the bag of duck food.

I've seen him before at the lake.  One time with a women who was sitting on a bench visiting with another lady.

I just liked this view  - this is about where he started following us.

Why the cat - no reason other than we went back to the Pet Shop last week to get more finch food and this cat was still watching over the store.

We're about out of duck food so we need to make another trip up there soon.

SOME BIRDS FROM MORRO BAY GARDEN NURSERY

I was browsing and enjoying taking some photos of birds in this nursery.  Morro Bay is on the Central Coast of California.  It's a beautiful area and I love to visit as often as possible.

SCENES FROM AROUND THE MOUNTAIN AREAS TODAY

We finally took out about 2:00 or so, to drive around and see what the storm was doing elsewhere.  We had snow, hail, rain, off and on all day.  It was beautiful.

Going over to Blue Jay, then on up to Lake Arrowhead - we found a lot more snow than we had here but then it was melting fast because the temps were above freezing.

 I have a lot more but that's it for tonight.

SNOWING AND MY "SNOW BIRDS" LOVE IT

It stopped earlier, then a bit ago started up with a vengeance - snow and hail - then slowed down and now a soft snow.  I'm enjoying this immensely.  Will go up the mountain later this afternoon for pics!

I bought these two up in Avila Beach this last trip.

 These three were presents from my sister - who brings me a bird almost every time she visits.

 And I LOVE them.  I'm almost positive more snow pics will be on their way to this blog.  I've already taken quite a few.
