BEEN A VERY LONG TIME SINCE i'VE POSTED ANYTHING

Following too much on social media like Instagram, Twitter etc...that I have kind of let my blogs take a back seat.  I'm wanting to get back into blogging again.

Anyway...took a trip about two  weeks ago down the back side of the mountains into the high desert of Hesperia and Apple Valley.  We stopped at Hesperia lake because I like to get there around the time I know the pelicans have arrived.  A lot of trees are base still and it will be more beautiful as March and April flowers and trees start blooming.  Whether winter or any other season I love to stop here for a walk around this rather small lake.

First some geese,

I was far away and saw this shape in the tree and thought it was a trash bag or something that the wind had blown into the tree.  We have had a lot of wind this winter so it made sense..  I then took this photo and so sad it appears a goose was trapped in the branches.  I have no idea how long it has been like this.  I watch for quite awhile and it never moved so I assume it was dead.  Sad.

Hi Sandy. How easy it is to lose blog friends. I was so happy to see you and to realize you had been a blog friend long enough to get some of my watercolor cards. That's been a while. I will save you now on my sidebar and hopefully we can re-connect. Our first home after marriage was San Bernardino. Had friends in Hesperia. Loved your photos..what a delightful and peaceful place. Thanks so much for coming by. Hope to see you again soon. I don't blog as much as I used too. I'm slowing down at almost 84. God is good, I am still in pretty good health. Caregiver for my dearest, he's 87. Hugs

Oh my, how sad to see that goose hanging there. I agree that its no longer among the living. Love the photos and the one of the man sitting and fishing and just enjoying the peaceful day is suburb.

Hello Sandy,
It was a pleasure to read you at home.
It's been a while since we visited each other.
The only social network I really check are blogs.
So since I post once a month, a lot of things get lost;
But the visits are always enriching.
I loved your images, because that's how we exchange things.
I liked your quote, at home, that's how we also get to know other authors.
Blogs certainly take longer than other social networks; but the exchange and interaction is greater.
When I sit down to write something, I'm really in that place,
talking to the person who made that post. Now I'm here with you, lol. We force ourselves to write and not just send emoticons. Like other networks...
Have a good week and a
beautiful start to April.
Janice.

I'm kind of getting over FB but still post there once in awhile. I like instagram but honestly I really enjoy 'threads" which is part of instagram.. It's more like people just talking about their experiences but it feels more real than most platforms. I'm glad to be paying attention to y blogs agia. Thanks for visiting.
