We were walking through an area called STanfield Marsh when we would see these western bluebirds, fly up from the ground and perch on these very thin branched wheat looking bushes. There were many of them - it must be the season for them up there. The marsh has little water in it now - mostly just close to the little island out in the middle. A few years back the whole area was beautiful with lots of water.
The whole marsh is quite a walk if you leave from the bridge area and go across to behind the houses where there is a road that leads up to the hwy. We finally took it and it was a good work out because some of the wheat looking plants are taller in some areas and the marsh bed is damp from snow that melted and sunk in.

You got some really good shots of the birds! Did your shoes survive? That looks like a difficult walk. Is that where you guys took me when I was there in the past? It looks familiar.
Those birds were far away - first time i tried zooming in on a bird in awhile. it is good exercise because you have to kind of lift your feet up high in some areas and be careful you aren't going to sink in. Last year the closer I got to the little island i went knee deep one time in the marsh bottom -...and there was no standing water just wet soil. Yes we took you there once. I think at that time it had a lot of water. You were hot and you didn't like that there weren't trees along the bridge. I love it most in fall when the quaking aspens are quake-ing in the breeze.
Oh, well it was memorable and there was water, but I sure was picky. But heat turns me into monster.
Muy buena serie de imagenes, sobre todo me encantan las de los pajaros...
Un saludo
Thank you Lidefonso
