A FEMALE GREAT TAILED GRACKLE

What a pretty bird.  A grackle is a song bird of the American Blackbird family.  I find them so pretty and often have seen them at a lake over in the high desert.  This one I saw at the coast.

That is a pretty bird. We have grackles, but they are black. The same startling eyes, though.

I see the grackle has long legs and it certainly looks like a pretty bird in your photos!

How pretty! I don't think that I have seen the female before. I have a couple of male grackles hanging around my suet feeders right now. I'm sure there must be a female out there on a nest somewhere.
