EASY TO SEE WHERE THE ACORN WOODPECKER GOT ITS' NAME

It's fun to watch them drill holes for their acorns - except when you hear them drilling holes in the wood siding of the house.  I was walking through the town of Templeton when I saw him busily storing up his nuts.

an accompanying Haiku from Magyar - his blog is on my side bar.  I love his poetry.

Wow! You even managed to get the deposited nuts in their new homes! I'm wondering if you knew you were getting those in the photo too because you usually don't even aim the camera using the few finder.

__Sandy, I fully appreciate your comments at my blog, pleas feel free to visit anytime!
__Haiku / senryu... is the epitome of "less is more," few syllables, in forms that prod the reader's imaginations. Haiga, is haiku applied to art or photos, an augment as to this Acorn Woodpecker. Smiles_! _m

Hi Laura - remember the organic produce store we all went in - i had stepped outside and noticed a woodpecker quite a ways in the distance so used my zoom...it wasn't an accident, lol, but i can see why u would think so.

Hi Magyar - thank you for the info - i oly knew that haiku was a short poem and wasn't sure about the syllables, etc. I'm putting your haiku on the post with your name. I love it, thanks.
