I wonder if she will be one of the females having duck babies this spring. I can't wait! They should be born sometime in May. The females have partnered up with their males and now usually hang in couples. Once in awhile it appears one female has two male companions that hang around her.

You know, the patterns of the feathers are so wonderful! There HAS to be a Creator to come up with these patterns! ;)
I know - some people (as i have found out on bird forums) kind of discount ducks as a valid bird photo i guess because there are so many and so easily available to photograph but...I find them beautiful and love the patterns of their feathers.

I agree about the patterns in the feathers - so gorgeous aren't they. Those irridescent colours too - wow! Hope they have babies :D)
I'm sure they will Susan - can't wait to follow their progress - we will be at the lake every day walking when that happens.
