POSTING PHOTO FROM NEW NOTEBOOK

My laptop is old, really old - i think i got it in 2007.  The fan that keeps it cooled down gives me problems at times and there are other issues - but I can still use it.  My husband found a deal at Best Buy for a notebook which is similar in size to my laptop and it was only 200 dollars - wow - .  I wouldn't let him get me a new laptop because i didn't want to spend the money until i absolutely had to as i could still use mine.  But, at this price I was willing to try something new - The keyboard is hard to get use to as it has a large number pad  on the right hand side -i have to get use to so it's slow going.

All my pics are on the other computer except for some recent ones.  I wanted to post one from this new computer as a test.  A junco sat on the roof yesterday for quite a long time seemingly enjoying himself.

I have lots more photos of the hummingbird i want to post later once I'm back on the other computer.

ANOTHER PHOTO OF ASHLEY - FROM A RECENT VISIT TO THE PET STORE

She now seems to know me when I go in and appears to listen intently to my mutterings - oh you sweet little bird - you're so adorable...i could just eat you up - ..no no no Ashley I didn't mean it.

I may paint her today!  Anybody else itching to do a drawing or painting and want to join in?

RED TAILED HAWK IN REHAB

At the Alpine Zoo - I photographed this beautiful hawk.  There were four in the enclosure and this one seemed to be the one that wasn't content to remain caged.  He was causing a ruckus but the others were fine.    He was up high and "talking" real loud.  As far as I could translate - he was saying he wanted the heck out of there.

I took several poses - mainly because my sister once drew a beautiful drawing with colored pencil of a hawk and it makes me want to try it.  I might do it on black foam board - and if I like it - then I'll try it on white paper - a different pose.  That will be my project for today and tomorrow.

LOU AND EDDIES

Here is a photo of part of the grounds where Lou and Eddie's is - they have a wedding venue area in the back which is really cute and rustic.

I'll post more photos later.

In the restaurant area they make specialty pizzas which are really good.

We finally tried it after passing it many times in the last almost 10 months of living here.  It's located on the way to Running Spring and Big Bear in Sky Forest.  This area pictured is part of the "white garden".  Looks like they may have been starting to set up for a wedding.

IT'S THE STARS FAULT.

“I glanced again. He was still watching me.

Look, let me just say it: He was hot. A nonhot boy stares at you relentlessly and it is, at best, awkward and, at worst, a form of assault. But a hot boy... well.”   John Green - The Fault in Our Stars.

Whoa!  Who's that cutie down there - I could stare at her forever.

I wonder why he keeps staring at me.  He's kind of hot!

Oh good - I smell okay -  wouldn't want to scare her away.

Now I have to act like I didn't see him do that.  That was kind of nerdy but damn he is one cute Grosbeak.

"Aw darn she saw me smell my feathers.    I 've seen that look  of disgust before - No way am I going to try and pick her up.  .I can't take another rejection."

TROUBLE POOL SIDE

I'm sitting on my bed reading when I hear some noise.  I'm not sure what the story is behind these photos but something was going on between the two of them.  These photos are posted in the order they were taken.  The quality isn't very good because my window was open and I had to take the photos through two layers of glass because I didn't want to shoot through the screen.  The first pose actually went on quite awhile as the noise is what got me to look out.

I thought of this saying when I viewed these photos.

"THE MORE ARGUMENTS YOU WIN - THE LESS FRIENDS YOU WILL HAVE."

Maybe it was just this simple that caused the fight.

Son, when a woman says nothing's wrong, it means everything's wrong; when a woman says everything's wrong, it means everything's wrong; and when a woman says that something isn't funny, you'd better not laugh your ass off!

 Homer Simpson

Or could it be

"I NEVER MIND MY WIFE HAVING THE LAST WORD, IN FACT, I'M DELIGHTED WHEN SHE GETS TO IT."

Walter Matthhau

I get the sense though - it was something this simple but irritating.......

I SIMPLY ASKED YOU WHAT TIME IT WAS, NOT HOW A WATCH WORKS !

Hey!  IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE ANSWER YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE ASKED THE QUESTION!

EARLY IN LIFE I HAD TO CHOOSE BETWEEN HONEST ARROGANCE AND HYPOCRITICAL HUMILITY.  I CHOSE THE FORMER AND HAVE SEEN NO REASON TO CHANGE.

Frank Lloyd Wright

IF YOU'RE AFRAID OF BEING LONELY, DON'T TRY TO BE RIGHT.

AND WE'VE ALL HEARD THIS SONG

One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do
Two can be as bad as one
It's the loneliest number since the number one

No is the saddest experience you'll ever know
Yes, it's the saddest experience you'll ever know

'Cause one is the loneliest number that you'll ever do
One is the loneliest number, whoa-oh, worse than two

It's just no good anymore since you went away
Now I spend my time just making rhymes of yesterday

HEART ROCK AND MY GRANDSON HUNTER

Van Gogh has said "If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere."

Once we moved up here - we heard through locals about heart rock.  I went there hiking once when my sister and her husband visited but the path was blocked at a certain point and we could only go so far.  While Hunt was here we went all the way to where the heart is.  Van Gogh was wise - I thought of this saying when I saw the heart!

Hunt was ecstatic to be doing one of the things he loves most which is climbing on every rock he passes.  I hope to get Cayden there hiking soon - it really isn't a very long hike and very do-able for him.

We saw very few people as we went late in the afternoon - very peaceful walk except worrying Hunt was going too close to the edge on some of the big rocks.

There is the heart!

I see an owl face where the more circle hole and the heart meet -
